A small collection of minor tasks I have performed, as a favor here and there, for family, friends and acquaintances.

Aalborg Spilforsyning –
Store Profile and Visual Expression

  • Goal:
A new store was opening in Aalborg, reviving the old function and location for ‘Dragons Lair’, a hobby and wargame shop, needed certain graphical work in order to define their visual identity and support their profile, as well as basic iconography and images to be used in and around the shop as part of their expression.
  • 1st Request:
Very early in the development, it was first asked if it would be possible to receive a concept pitch, while the store managers developed their own thoughts to a higher degree.
  • 2nd Request:
Later, as more parts of the store image was made clear, concise and constructive feedback rapidly changed both name and visual style of the store, and signs and posters had to be made with this profile in mind.
  • Result:
A full visual definition of the managers requests, both in terms of store-front signs, posters and icons to be used with any of their materials were made and delivered in both vector and pixel based renditions.

Solstrålen Støtteforening – Introduction to Website Management

  • Goal:
The support organisation for the children’s hospice Solstrålen was seeking a way to more regularly update their website, and given the tasks that they sought solved, the easiest solution seemed to give them an introduction to the website administration tool-set, and teach themselves to maintain the small weekly updates.
  • 1st Request:
A simple way to edit the Activities page of the website, that details the weekly events and meetings, as an online referendum of activities by the organisation.
  • Result:
A short 3 hour introduction wherein they themselves were first taught the tools and tasked with editing text and adding pictures, imitating their weekly update routine, made them proficient enough to now administrate these simple tasks on their own website.

ThemFys –
Website Maintenance

  • Goal:
To assist in the maintenance and addition of new material, as the current web-hosting service is overburdened, and cannot perform these tasks themselves.
  • Result:
Two months of updates, removal of expired material from the site, as well as re-organization of the page structure and the addition of a series of key overview features, such as price and treatment lists.

ThemFys –
Website Re-Hosting

  • Goal:
The previous website hosting service encountered many problems, one of which was the crash of the website for a longer period and the loss of all the material upon it. This prompted the switch to a new host, and it is sought to re-establish the function of the website, while also giving it a visual boost, making it more modern and in key with similar sites.
  • Result:
After a successful hand-off to DanaWeb, the website has found its new host, and a new visual style to aid in the attraction that the establishment has to potential and current customers. As it stands, some of the problems that occurred with the precious service means that it is still an ongoing process to bring the content on the site completely up to date, but the website itself is up and running.
  • Ongoing Work:
As an intermediate content editor, I am still performing regular and prompted updates of the content on this website, such as broadcasting urgent messages to their front-page, adding new pages with new functionality, and editing superfluous or outdated content and information.

SportsCares –
Website Design

  • Goal:
As a side-project of the ThemFys business plan, the proprietor sought to branch out into a home-based clinic with a narrower focus on a certain set of facilities and offered services. To this end, a new website was requested, with a slightly less stringent demand in terms of server security, stability and marketing platform behind it – in short a ‘Simple and easy website, such as one might use for private content. Just a simple one- or two-page info site with things like “what do we do” or driving directions.’
  • 1st Request:
A cheap server platform for the initial website, without much expected traffic in the first period – both because this is expected to be a home clinic that is mainly reference through the main clinic and that it is probably going to be a slow creation process as the entire framework around the new clinic is nowhere near done currently.
  • 2nd Request:
Particular aspects of the design is predetermined, as the client already has certain graphical material designed and made, and the website should be in line with this. This includes color-scheme, logo, website name and some aspects of the page layout.
  • Ongoing Work:
As the project has been delayed both by a busy normal work-routine on the side of the client, as well as a further delay in allocated planning time caused by the Covid-19 situation, the website is halfway towards its initial design, but not fully launched yet.
